Saab Seaeye Falcon ROV Takes Part in Underwater Archaeological Inspection in China

    September 21, 1959, two towns with a long history which can be dated back to Tang Dynasty were submerged by water after a construction of a Reservoir in Qiandao Lake, Zhejiang Province, China. Recently, an underwater archaeological inspection is starting on these towns which is made a live show on CCTV (China Central Television).
    During underwater inspection, a Seaeye Falcon ROV offered by Tek-Meridian became a TV-star for its outstanding performance. The Falcon is integrated with Fiber Optic  Communication Upgrade, a Bowtech HD Colour Zoom Camera, a Kongsberg Low Light Mono Camera, a Tritech Seaking Sonar, a Blueview Multibeam Sonar and a Linkquest Tracking system.
    Mr.Zhang who is Vice-Director of Chunan City Programming Bureau said the ROV is the best technical support for this underwater archaeological inspection application.
    Depending on high resolution & definition video and image from ROV ‘Falcon’, it is possible to bring the spectacular underwater sight of two ancient towns to all Chinese audience by CCTV live show.
